USEPA Recognizes Work by Ann Green Communications

Earlier in the summer, Ann Green Communications was presented an award from Region 3 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The “2018 Excellence in Site Reuse” award was presented to Ann Green Communications by Region 3 Administrator, Cosmo Servidio for our work supporting the Fairmont Coke Works Site Redevelopment Initiative.

On behalf of our client, AGC worked cooperatively with the EPA, the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, community leaders and a number of area residents over the years to engage the community in the restoration of this site into productive use.

Green Speaks at OCTC Conference on Importance of Community Advisory Panels

At this year’s annual conference of the Ohio Chemistry and Technology Council (OCTC), Ann Green will join long-time client Mike Groh from BASF in Cincinnati will be presenting a session on understand the importance of community advisory panels (CAP). Ann Green Communications organized and has facilitated the Cincinnati CAP for BASF since it’s inception in 1993. Mike was one of the original company representatives. The OCTC Conference will be held in Columbus May 6-7. Ann Green Communications has been an active member of the Ohio Chemistry and Technology Council for several years.

Sustainability and Community Engagement Go Hand In Hand

Ann Green was a speaker at the 2019 Responsible Care® and Sustainability Conference and Expo April 14-17 in Fort Lauderdale. She joined Margaret O’Gorman, president of the Wildlife Habitat Council, in discussing how chemical companies can leverage sustainability programs to enhance community relationships. Their message to attendees: connect the dots between the global concept of sustainability and community engagement programs. Ann is working with ACC to develop a new guidance document to assist member companies in bringing the concept of sustainability to the communities in which they operate.

A New Book By Ann Green
