Side Notes:

As a young journalism student, who was your role model?
Being a journalism student in the ‘70’s was an exciting time since women were making tremendous strides in the television news business. It also was a time in history when investigative reporting was coming in to its own – thanks in part to Watergate. But for me, the ultimate role model was Walter Cronkite. He was the epitome of what a television news anchor should be… fair, objective and trustworthy; yet still tough and focused on getting an accurate story. I had the pleasure of meeting Walter Cronkite and to this day, count it among the most exciting moments of my life!
