Ann Green is a nationally
recognized leader in bridging communications between companies and
communities. She brings 24 years experience to consulting with more than
100 companies in 30 states. Ann was instrumental in developing Community
Advisory Panels (CAPs), which provide two-way communication between
businesses and their publics. Ann not only serves as the president of Ann
Green Communications, Inc. but also continues to facilitate CAPs and
provide communications’ training. Before founding Ann Green Communications
in 1991, she was president of the Chemical and Environmental Affairs
Division of a large public relations agency. She was assistant to the dean
of the West Virginia University College of Mineral and Energy Resources,
then director of public relations at West Virginia State College prior to
joining an agency. She taught journalism at Glenville State College, West
Virginia State College and West Virginia University. Ann has a master’s
degree in journalism and psychology from West Virginia University and a
bachelor’s degree in history and journalism from Glenville State College.
Ann is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and received
the 1985 Practitioner of the Year award from the West Virginia chapter and
won the Best in West Virginia award in 1989. Additionally, Ann received
the PRSA 2000 Lifetime Achievement Award and was recognized by the
Charleston Area YWCA as a Woman of Achievement in 2000.
